  • Using SAML for Security

    Welcome to ISC1075: Using SAML for Security. This course contains five instructional lessons, plus several quiz questions. The videos and simulations in this course are best if viewed full screen.

    In this course, you will learn the basics of SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language), the ways in which it can be used within Caché security features, and some use cases that can be applied to HealthShare productions.

    Prerequisite Learning or Experience Learners should be familiar with Caché and HealthShare security features.

    Audience This course is for Caché and HealthShare developers who may want to use SAML as a part of their security strategy, want to learn SAML basics, and the capabilities of Caché and HealthShare for using SAML.

    Learning Objectives By the end of this course, you will be able to:
    • Identify what SAML is and why it is useful.
    • Create SAML tokens and add them to outbound messages.
    • Retrieve and validate inbound messages containing SAML tokens.
    • Implement extensions of SAML security in HealthShare.
