  See how to set up single sign-on (SSO) between an EMR and an InterSystems HealthShare® system to provide clinicians with seamless access to the HealthShare® Clinical Viewer from a medical record system.

  A basic understanding of security and familiarity with EMR systems and HealthShare is recommended.

  Note that third-party applications such as an EMR can only access HealthShare if they have an OAuth token. The setup described in this video uses a SAML assertion to verify an end user's credentials so that HealthShare can then provide the necessary OAuth token.
