• Using InterSystems IDEs

To connect to InterSystems IRIS® data platform to write and test ObjectScript code, you will need an integrated development environment (IDE). The three options provided by InterSystems are Studio, Atelier, and the ObjectScript extension for Visual Studio Code.  Instructions for setting up these IDEs are listed below. You can find full instructions on the InterSystems IRIS documentation site.

This page also includes a description of InterSystems Learning Labs, which are stand-alone instances of InterSystems IRIS with an accompanying online IDE. Unlike Atelier, Studio, and Visual Studio Code, Learning Labs do not run ObjectScript, but they can process Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js code.
