  • Integration Architecture: Ensemble and HealthShare

    Welcome to the Integration Architecture course! This course contains three instructional lessons, plus several quiz questions. The videos in this course are best if viewed full screen.

    This course explains the basic architecture of the InterSystems solution for integration. It is applicable for those who have purchased either Ensemble or HealthShare. As a foundational course, many other courses depend on this course. It covers the main parts of integration, each part's function and how data flows through that architecture.

    Note: The content presented in this course also applies to InterSystems IRIS Data Platform.

    Prerequisite Learning or Experience  None.

    Audience  This course is intended for anyone who is new to Ensemble or HealthShare and who wants an introduction to the architecture of the InterSystems integration engine.

    Duration  30 minutes. 

    Grading Criteria  There are no graded parts of this course. Quiz questions are provided to assess that you learned the main goals of each lesson but they are not graded.

    Learning Objectives  By the end of this course you will be able to:

    • Identify parts of an integration engine.
    • Explain the functions of business services, business processes, business operations, and adapters.
    • Describe the flow of messages within an integration solution.
