  • Zen Mojo for Web-based Applications

    NOTE: Zen Mojo is provided with Caché and Ensemble but is not included with InterSystems IRIS® data platform or InterSystems IRIS for Health™ by default. For creating web pages and UIs, InterSystems recommends using any common third-party frameworks such as AngularJS, React or Vue.js.


    Welcome to Zen Mojo for Web-based Applications! This course contains two instructional lessons, plus several quiz questions. The videos in this course are best if viewed full screen. 

    This course introduces Zen Mojo and describes some of the features that make it state-of-the-art for web development. We will talk about PhoneGap and also tell you how to find and install a copy of Zen Mojo. At the end of the course, we will introduce advanced courses that will help you build Zen Mojo applications. 

    Prerequisite Learning or Experience  High-level familiarity with concepts like web-based, desktop, and mobile application.

    Audience  This course is intended for anyone who wants an introduction to desktop or mobile web application development using InterSystems Zen Mojo technology. 

    Duration  30 minutes 

    Grading Criteria  This course is not graded; quiz questions are provided for self-assessment. 

    Learning Objectives  By the end of this course, you will be able to: 

    • Explain single-page architecture. 
    • Explain the use of JSON for data transfer. 
    • Describe Zen Mojo’s plugin infrastructure. 
    • Identify and distinguish the three different types of mobile applications: native, web-based, and hybrid. 
    • List the mobile application types Zen Mojo supports.
