  See how Python can be used in BPL business processes and DTL data transformations. To customize your productions with Python, you can write custom code in many fields of the DTL or BPL Editor and write conditional logic, modify data formats, and perform calculations. You can also import Python libraries for use in these fields.

  Prerequisites

  • Familiarity with the architecture of productions, specifically, BPL business processes and DTL data transformations
  • Knowledge of InterSystems ObjectScript is not necessary

  Note:

  Python is supported in code fields of the DTL editor as of InterSystems IRIS 2025.1, and in the BPL editor as of InterSystems IRIS 2024.1.
